Introduction to AST 1
Whether you are taking your first steps into the backcountry or looking to increase your knowledge base.  The Avalanche Skills Training 1 program is the perfect starting point. AST 1 will help you acquire the essential skills to navigate and enjoy the backcountry safely.

What You Will Learn
Our professional instructors will guide you through the critical aspects of avalanche training. From understanding how to read and use the avalanche bulletin to mastering the various online resources available, the AST 1 course covers all necessary bases.  Additionally, you will learn how to plan and execute a safe backcountry trip as well as conduct a proficient rescue in case of an accident.
